Welcome to my Culinary Journey

A Journey with Flavor and Passion in a simple and unique cooking style.

Many of you have ever dream to travel around the world and have the chance to taste new dishes in some exotic places? I can promise to you through my culinary journey to introduce you to mouthwatering dishes and take you to the most exotic places that you can ever imagine with my kitchen journey showing you dishes from around the world and sharing with you my dishes and memorable times sharing with friends.
My dream has always been to be a Chef-The love for cooking is in my heart!
I grew up watching my grandmother cook Petra, I sat in a chair in the kitchen and watched as she prepared delicious Venezuelan food.It took me so long to start writing because my Spanglish! My friends always tell me "You should start writing your recipes" and others call me for advice for some new recipes. I want to share with you my culinary adventures acquired through the years in my country Venezuela, living in Europe and sharing and learning with friends from other countries.

I love to invite my friends to eat at home and prepare dishes from different countries and everyone will enjoy!I would like to introduce some spices that will make it possible to recreate the dishes of other countries. Spices are important at the time of the preparation of a plate to recreate the original flavor.I can tell you that is not only about food, is the presentation, taste and share with family and friends, and learning about other cultures.
I hope you enjoy and be prepared to follow me in my culinary adventure through dishes from different countries around the world.

In my recipes I want to introduce to the Venezuelan Cuisine and how is make in the Country Venezuela, and also share with you international dishes.Based in my own experiences and exploring cookbooks and have the opportunity to visit other countries with great cuisine I believe there is lake of acknowledgment of Latin Cuisine.. No all the Latin Cuisine is Mexican (most of the Latin cookbook sold in the US are based 80% in Mexican cuisine). There are others Latin countries with great dishes like for example Venezuela- my home country.

I disagree when some restaurants try to adapt some dishes to the Country taste when you want truly want to recreate the original dish flavor. For example you cannot cook Turkish food in an American Style because them is not a Turkish dish. You want to taste the country flavor and as a chef you want to make the dish as original as is possible, not an adaptation of the dish.
Please enjoy my blog and I welcome to your suggestion and if you need a recipe or advice I will love to help you.

A Chef by hearth.

  2. Good Evening Mrs. Carolina, our community in Incirlik Air Base, Turkey held over a hundred contests for the community and you won a prize and plaque in every contest you entered and quite often you won in every category. We held the following contests: cake, pie, rice, chili, salad, casserole, and chicken wings. Mrs. Carolina you are a superb cook and many of our young military troops came to our contests to enjoy the food after the contests was over. Thanks so much!!! Clarence and Belinda
